Constructed with a Carbon Reinforced Composite (CRC) body and rotor and benefitting from strong and lightweight aluminium components such as the spool and handle, the reel is made to be tough and last the test of time. It also features no less that 6+1 stainless steel ball bearings, including two high-quality Japanese ball bearings, and benefits from our proprietary DuraGrease that protects against corrosion and wear like nothing else on the market. Like all Savage Gear reels, the SG4AG was made with our own specific tooling and innovative ideas including a custom-made T-shaped line clip that is much easier to use than traditional ones, a non-slip spool design that eliminates the need to use mono as backing, and a sealed carbon drag system that offers the ultimate in fish-stopping power and smoothness.
